Taylor Swift alias Taylor Alison Swift was born on 13^th Dec. 1989 in the state of Pennsylvania, US. She was a music Prodigy since her yearly childhood. In initial years of her career she took part in children’s theatre and later on developed strong liking for music. At the age of 11 her hidden talent was on the public domain when she sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” before a Philadelphia 76 ers Basketball game.She was star in the making and picked up the guitar and also started writing songs. When she entered into contract with RCA Records she was introduced to some of the big names of the Record- Industry.

Swift entered into a deal with Sony/ATV as songwriter at the age of 14. She used to sing her own songs in Nashville area; where her talent was noticed by the owner of Big Machine Label, Mr Scott Borchetta. “Tim McGraw” is the first single written by Tayor Swift and Liz Rose for her debutant self-titled Album “Taylor Swift” that was released in Oct. 2007. The song was instant hit and was in news for being on the Billboard country singles chart for eight months in a row. She got the recognition of certified Platinum when she attained the feat of selling One million copies of her debutant Album. Her talent was recognised by the Country Music Association and thus was honoured with Horizon Award for the best new artist.

“Fearless” was her second Album released in 2008; it was a mix of pop music and country music. Album was at top position on Billboard chart of 200 and sold half million copies in the first week. It achieved the distinction of being the only album to remain atop for a record time in that decade.

Swift became a force to reckon with in music arena in 2009; when she started her own concerts in North America. She impressed the music world when she won four prestigious GRAMMY Awards(Album of the Year, Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Female Country Performance) in 2010.Same year ventured into acting arena by featuring in romantic comedy Valentine’s Dayand also played a supporting role in film “The Giver”.

In 2012 she released her Album Red and sold 1.2 million copies. Swift come out with yet another Album 1989 in 2014 titled after the year of her birth. Swift called it her first official Pop Album. And it proved to be a blockbuster for her as it attained the selling of 500 copies in the first week of its release in the US.In 2019 released her seventh Album “Lover” which was described as” A Love letter to Love itself” by her. After some lull she came out with Album “Folklore in 2020 for which she won the Album of the Year GRAMMY award for the third time.

Taylor Swift is still quite young and has long way to go in his music career. She has all the attributes to be a music legend and it is only the matter of time that she will win more accolades. Music fraternity expect much better and innovative performances from the legend in the making!
