Interesting Facts about Liz Truss, the new PM of UK

Liz Truss who is also known as Mary Elizabeth Truss and was a leader in the making since her childhood. She started careers in politics since student days and was elected for university’ president for Liberal Democrats in 1993. At the age of 19 she made a speech in Liberal Democrats conference in 1994 where she supported the motion which called for abolishing the British monarchy. She turned conservative by the time she graduated from oxford in 1996.

She faced many challenges when she first tried to enter the UK politics. Somehow got the ticket to run for the rural constituency of North West Norfolk in 2010 General Election and won the seat and thus entered the British Parliament for the first time.

Thereafter, she has been assigned various responsibilities under successive governments.

Before becoming the prime minister of UK in Sept. 2022 she has hold different secretary level posts under different leaders such as David Cameron, Theresa May and  Boris Johnson. She might try his level best to emulate her iconic role model iron lady Margaret Thatcher while dealing with tough economic situation Britain is facing right now.
