FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony Shakira, Nora Fatehi, and Dua Lipa the stage on November 20 – Check full LIST of performers, Timings, Venue

The FIFA World Cup is the biggest stage for any musician, and Qatar is pulling out all the stops for their opening ceremony.

International superstar Shakira will be headlining the event, who sang the official anthem of the 2010 World Cup and will be joined by A-listers like Dua Lipa and Nora Fatehi.

But that’s not all; Qatar has also invited the world’s biggest K-Pop group BTS to perform, making this one of the most star-studded events in recent memory.

The opening ceremony will take place at the Al-Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar, on November 20 and is set to be a spectacular show with a host of world-renowned performers.

As well as being treated to an unforgettable performance from Shakira, fans will also get to see Dua Lipa perform her hit song ‘One Kiss’ and Nora Fatehi dance her way into everyone’s hearts with her mesmerizing moves.

Nora Fatehi, a Canada-born Bollywood star, has also featured in the 2022 Fifa World Cup’s official song “Light The Sky”.

Nora rose to fame with her breakout role in the 2016 film “Baahubali: The Beginning” and has since established herself as one of Bollywood’s leading ladies.

She most recently starred in the 2019 action thriller “Batla House” opposite John Abraham. It is noteworthy that a Bollywood artist like Nora Fatehi is given such a platform on an international stage. It shows how much clout she has in the industry today.

In an interview, Nora said, “Football, like music, is a universal language that has a passionate following – and I have witnessed this with my own eyes wherever I have travelled across the globe. It has been a privilege to collaborate with such passionate and talented women to create something that celebrates our roots and the excitement of the FIFA World Cup,”

Nora will feature in the opening ceremony along with Emirati singer Balqees, Iraqi singer Rahma Riad, and Moroccan songwriter Manal who were also part of the official FIFA World Cup song “Light The Sky.”

In addition to these artists, Black Eyed Peas, J Balvin and Nigerian music sensation Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie are set to perform in the opening ceremony of the FIFA world cup 2022.

However, these artists are not officially confirmed. Many other artists can join this list as FIFA has yet to release full performers for the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador.

With such a massive audience, it’s no wonder that some of the biggest names in music are being considered for the performance. Who will ultimately take the stage is still up in the air, but one thing is for sure – the 2022 FIFA World Cup is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events in recent history.
