FIFA World Cup 2022, the grand sports event of the year kicks off on 2oth Nov. 2022 in Qatar. In the history of the Football World Cup, it is for the first time that most popular sports’ World Championship is being organized in Arab Country and that too in winter session. There are total of 32 teams participating at the FIFA World Cup and every team as such is competent to outperform the other on a given day. World’s best teams are selected after much of gruelling competition at the qualifying level.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to take place in Qatar. Qatar won the hosting rights of the World Cup 2022 in the year 2010. The Gulf country defeated four other nations to secure the hosting right. The list included nations like Australia, South Korea, Japan and USA.

Football lovers across the globe have eagerly started count down for the Grand Sports Event at Qatar. The first Version of the FIFA Cup was organized and won by Uruguay in in 1930. The last Football World Cup 2018 was hosted by Russia and won by France by defeating Croatia.

Teams have now all secured their place in the competition, with the last of the qualifiers being finalised in June.

In the North American region other form of football is also played and hence association of football has not grown to the extent it should have.
