In a tragic incident, an IndiGo pilot tragically collapsed and passed away at the Nagpur boarding gate on Thursday morning, just before he was slated to operate a flight to Pune. The 40-year-old pilot, assigned to fly the Nagpur-Pune route, suffered the collapse around 12 noon while seated within the security hold area, according to reports.

Initial investigations suggest that his untimely demise was the result of a “sudden cardiac arrest,” as indicated by KIMS-Kingsway Hospital, where he was rapidly transported. Aejaz Shami, the spokesperson for the hospital, informed PTI that their emergency team administered CPR, unfortunately yielding no positive response.

Preliminary findings strongly indicate that the cause of his sudden demise was a “cardiac arrest,” as confirmed by KIMS-Kingsway Hospital, where he was quickly taken for medical attention. Despite the hospital’s emergency team administering CPR in a bid to revive him, there was no positive response, according to Aejaz Shami, the hospital’s spokesperson, speaking to PTI.
