Jailer’s Box Office Triumph: Rajinikanth Starrer Surpasses 400 Crore Mark, Achieves Third Highest Grossing Position Among Tamil Films in Mere 7 Days
The latest film by director Nelson Dilipkumar, titled “Jailer,” continues to make impressive strides at the box office. Starring Rajinikanth, the movie has exceeded the 400-crore milestone in global collections and has also surpassed the 200-crore mark in earnings within the domestic market. This achievement marks a significant milestone as it has achieved the most successful opening week ever recorded for any Tamil film. Furthermore, “Jailer” has secured a notable position among the highest-grossing Tamil films of all time.
On Wednesday, the domestic net earnings for “Jailer” amounted to 15 crore rupees, showing a 58% decline compared to its earnings of 36.50 crore rupees on Independence Day. As a result, the total domestic net earnings for the Nelson-directed film have reached 225 crore rupees, with a substantial 177 crore rupees contributed solely by the Tamil version. Despite the comparatively modest performance of the Kannada and Hindi dubbed versions (combined earnings of just 3.8 crore rupees), the film’s overall success remains largely unaffected due to the exceptional performance of its Telugu dubbed version. The Telugu version has outperformed Chiranjeevi’s “Bhola Shankar” with earnings of 44 crore rupees in that region.
