Al Thumama Stadium venue of FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar

Al Thumama Stadium is situated in the city of Al Thumama, Qatar and it is in vicinity of Hamad International Airport.  The circular form of the stadium is inspired by gahfiya –the traditional woven cap adorned by men and boys alike across the Arab World. It is also symbolism of self-confidence and ambition that further leads to future prospects and dreams. Since it is located in proximity of Hamad International Airport hence, its mesmerizing aerial view is in sight  very much, and appears quite  eye catching.  The stadium is designed by the prominent Chief Architect of Arab Engineering Bureau Ibrahim Jaihad. The dynamic, inspiring and imaginative shape of the stadium reflects the culture and traditions of local natives.

The grandeur of the building lies in its white exteriors and it shines and looks quite attractive as it is surrounded by greenery.

Venue will host total of eight matches of 2022 FIFA World Cup, including one Quarterfinal match. It can accommodate 40000 fans. In fact it is football ground, especially built for the Football World Cup, 2022.  International visitors will have easy access to the stadium as is located in proximity to the International Airport. Besides football action, the Al Thumama Stadium’s structure will also be centre of attraction for international fans.
